Samsung HW-QS90H
Sonos Beam Ultra
The Samsung HW-QS90H is a better standalone soundbar for most people than the Sonos Beam Ultra, especially considering it can be found for a similar price when on sale. The Samsung performs better across most of our sound tests, with a more balanced default sound profile, better bass extension, and a more immersive sound with 5.1 and Atmos content. The Samsung also has a much broader suite of sound adjustment tools and built-in Alexa support, as well as HDMI passthrough capabilities for low-latency routing when connecting a console or PC for gaming. The Sonos' main selling points are its wider stereo soundstage, smaller footprint, and its ecosystem integration. It'll be more appealing to users who already own a few Sonos products and want a soundbar to integrate with them.
