ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 27
HOKA Bondi 9
The ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 27 and HOKA Bondi 9 both fall into the premium daily trainer category. With its updated midsole featuring FF BLAST PLUS ECO foam and a PureGEL heel insert, the ASICS delivers an even softer, more plush ride underfoot. The energy return on impact is still relatively low, leaving the user with little ability to pick up the pace. The midsole's switch to the supercritical EVA foam is a key difference from the HOKA ride. The change resulted in a newfound bounce and responsiveness, giving the runner a more fun, energetic ride. Though the HOKA is firmer than the ASICS, both offer great protection, stability, and comfort.
