Samsung S90F OLED
Samsung S90H OLED
The Samsung S90F OLED is a bit better than the Samsung S90H OLED overall, but the S90H does have some advantages. The S90F utilizes QD-OLED panel that displays brighter, more vibrant colors. The S90F is also noticeably brighter in HDR, which allows highlights to pop out more in HDR content. On the other hand, the S90H is brighter in SDR, has superior reflection handling, and does a better job retaining its image quality in a room with ambient lighting, making it the better option for bright rooms. The S90H also has a 165Hz refresh rate versus the 144Hz on the S90F.

QD-OLED is great for Saturated colors but not for Blacks, OLED is the Contrast King since there is no raised blacks when a room is bright.
It’s basically double the price for minimal gain. Looking forward to my new 77” S90F arriving Friday. I’d buy now before they are gone. QD-OLED does. Superior job with colors and blacks.
Came here to flame it for dropping QD, but dang - those reflection handling pics are the best I’ve ever seen! I have a wall of windows on one side during the day, and recessed can lighting at night. Never thought OLED could be a real option, can’t wait to see the 77" review
Does anyone know if the 42" will also have a matte anti-glare screen?
If anyone has a42", any comparison how bright it will get?.thx
They are pushing people to buy the x95 series and spend $800 more for it! Sure it’s not consumer friendly but economically it makes sense… LG did the opposite with the C6H this year, go figure lol.
We have just learned from Samsung directly that the 77" S90H is confirmed to use a tandem panel at least. We’ve asked about the 83" and are waiting to hear back.
It’s a huge disappointment that Samsung no longer offers QD-OLED in any size on the S90H. The C-series was already the clear preference in sizes 77 inches and above due to its use of tandem OLEDs. For 55 and 65-inch screens, LG is now the more logical choice because its upscaling is clearly better than Samsung’s. Samsung OLEDs are no longer worth buying except for the S95H series; LG is the favorite in the upper-middle segment. At least the S90H should have had tandem OLEDs…
