TCL QM751G
TCL QM851G
The TCL QM851G is better than the TCL QM751G. With a few exceptions, the QM851G does most things better than the QM751G. The QM851G is noticeably brighter in HDR and SDR, has better contrast, and is more accurate in SDR prior to calibration. It also has much better reflection handling than the QM751G, making it a far better option if you like to watch TV in extremely bright rooms. Still, the QM751G is more accurate in HDR and has better color volume in SDR. But, overall, the QM851G is a noticeable upgrade over the QM751G.

Thanks alot for your input and response. I am heading towards QM7 as well too. I felt its too bright in dark for QM8. I have lower the brightness and if i do so its no different than QM7
Hello!
Both models are similar and are perfect for dark rooms, except for brightness that is slightly different:
Since your TV will be in a dark room, the QM7 model will be more than enough for your needs :)
Did check the forum but didnt see any comparison between QM7 vs QM8

Looking for recommendation to choose which model to choose among QM7 and QM8. This is will be installed in media room with no windows at all. So it will dark mostly unless i open the door. Mostly used for watching movies and once in while xbox. Will be hooking it up to Klipsch 5.1 channel. So sound isnt big factor for me. Please let me know which 98 inches to choose.
Note: i have done some research and based on it , i see lot said QM7 pretty much does the same job as QM8 if its in media room with no windows and bright light.
