Our Verdict
Apple MacBook Pro 14 (M5, 2025)
Apple MacBook Pro 16 (M5, 2026)
The Apple MacBook Pro 16 (M5, 2026) and the Apple MacBook Pro 14 (M5, 2025) suit different portability needs. The 16-inch model has more screen space for editing or multitasking, while the 14-inch is easier to carry. Both offer high-resolution 120Hz displays, and both are available with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. However, the 14-inch also offers a base M5 configuration. Our tested 16-inch M5 Max has substantially more processing power than the base M5 in our tested 14-inch, so that difference reflects the chip configurations as well as the laptops.
