The LG gram Pro 2-in-1 16 (2026) is a premium Windows convertible laptop. Its 360-degree hinge lets you use it as a tablet, and its touchscreen supports pen input. It has an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor with integrated Intel Arc 140T graphics and a 16-inch 2880x1800 120Hz OLED touchscreen. The battery and SSD are replaceable, and there's a second M.2 storage slot, but the memory and wireless adapter aren't user-replaceable. North American configurations have 16GB or 32GB of soldered LPDDR5x memory and either a 1TB or 2TB SSD.
Our Verdict
The LG gram Pro 16 2-in-1 is good for general productivity. Its processor delivers responsive performance in everyday applications. It's exceptionally portable for a 16-inch convertible and feels well-built. Its sharp OLED display gets bright enough for well-lit rooms and handles reflections remarkably well. It also has an excellent touchpad, a very good webcam, and a useful port selection. The keyboard is quite good but has relatively little travel and can become tiring during extended typing sessions. Battery life during casual web browsing is merely decent, though it should still get you through a normal workday.
Exceptionally portable for a 16-inch convertible.
Strong CPU performance and available with ample memory for multitasking.
Sharp and bright OLED display with excellent reflection handling.
Good webcam and microphone.
Good keyboard with an excellent touchpad.
Gets hot during demanding workloads.
Web-browsing battery life is only okay, although good enough for a full day.
Shallow keyboard can become tiring during extended use.
Speakers lack bass and sound somewhat unnatural.
The LG gram Pro 16 2-in-1 is outstanding for media consumption. Its high-resolution OLED display produces a sharp image, deep blacks, and vibrant colors. The screen also gets bright enough for most indoor environments and handles reflections exceptionally well. Its light weight makes it easy to carry around, and its excellent video-playback battery life is well-suited to watching content away from an outlet. The speakers get reasonably loud and remain clear at maximum volume, but they produce very little bass and don't sound especially full or immersive. Colors are also visibly inaccurate and oversaturated out of the box, although this is unlikely to bother most people during casual viewing.
Exceptionally portable for a 16-inch convertible.
Sharp and bright OLED display with excellent reflection handling.
Outstanding video-playback battery life.
Web-browsing battery life is only okay, although good enough for a full day.
Speakers lack bass and sound somewhat unnatural.
The LG gram Pro 16 2-in-1 isn't well-suited for gaming. Its Intel Arc 140T integrated graphics can handle simple, older, and well-optimized games, but demanding titles generally require low settings and a resolution far below the display's native resolution. There are no dedicated GPU options, so every configuration has similar gaming limitations. Still, the high-resolution 120Hz OLED display provides a sharp, responsive image and can deliver smooth motion in games that run at sufficiently high frame rates. However, performance decreases during extended gaming sessions due to thermal issues, and the keyboard gets hot.
Sharp and bright OLED display with excellent reflection handling.
High refresh rate provides smooth motion.
Can handle simple, older, and well-optimized games.
Speakers lack bass and sound somewhat unnatural.
Integrated GPU is too slow for demanding games, with no dedicated GPU option.
Performance decreases during extended gaming sessions.
Gets hot under load.
The LG gram Pro 16 2-in-1 is mediocre for workstation use. Its processor and 32GB of memory can handle programming, photo editing, video projects, and moderately demanding CPU rendering, but performance decreases during lengthy tasks, and the laptop gets hot under load, so it's better suited to short bursts of intensive work. The 16GB configurations are less suitable for heavy multitasking, and the memory is soldered, so you can't replace it. The integrated graphics are unsuitable for professional 3D rendering, complex CAD, machine learning, and other heavily GPU-accelerated workloads. Still, its fast SSD and excellent port selection are useful when working with large files, external displays, and high-speed storage devices. There's also an additional M.2 slot for expanding the storage.
Strong CPU performance and available with ample memory for multitasking.
Fast storage with an additional M.2 slot.
Excellent port selection, including Thunderbolt 4.
Gets hot during demanding workloads.
Integrated GPU is unsuitable for demanding professional 3D work.
Performance decreases during prolonged workloads.
Memory is soldered and can't be upgraded.

Popular Laptop Comparisons
The LG gram Pro 16 2-in-1 is a good premium Windows laptop whose main appeal is its unusually light convertible design. Its large 120Hz OLED touchscreen looks sharp and colorful, supports pen input, and provides plenty of space for productivity. Its H-series processor also handles demanding multitasking and lighter creative work well. However, performance declines during sustained workloads, and its battery life during casual use is merely adequate.
The Apple MacBook Air 13 (M5, 2026) is the most logical alternative if you're comfortable with macOS, although the larger 15-inch version is the closer comparison and has a slightly faster GPU. The MacBook provides longer battery life and a more polished overall user experience, while the LG has a larger 120Hz OLED display, touch and pen support, a 2-in-1 design, and considerably more ports. The Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15 Aura Edition (2025) is a slightly more expensive Windows alternative. The Lenovo lasts much longer and runs cooler and quieter, but the LG provides more multi-core performance and added versatility.
If you want a convertible laptop at a much lower price, consider the Lenovo IdeaPad 5a 2-in-1 14 (2026). It's considerably slower and has a smaller, less impressive 60Hz display, but it's more than capable of everyday productivity and has replaceable memory. The LG is the better machine overall, but the Lenovo provides the essential 2-in-1 experience for much less.

The LG gram Pro 2-in-1 16 (2026) and Apple MacBook Air 13 (M5, 2026) are both premium ultraportables. The LG has a much larger 120Hz OLED touchscreen, a 360-degree hinge, and pen support, although you can get the MacBook with a 15-inch screen. The LG produces deeper blacks and smoother motion, while its wider port selection and upgradeable storage provide more flexibility. The MacBook is more compact and slightly lighter, feels sturdier, and lasts considerably longer on battery. Its M5 SoC provides stronger CPU performance, and its fanless design is silent, though like the LG, its performance drops during prolonged heavy workloads. It also has a better haptic touchpad and webcam. Windows versus macOS may ultimately be the deciding factor.
The LG gram Pro 2-in-1 16 (2026) and LG gram Pro 16 (2024) are lightweight premium laptops. The 2026 model is a convertible with a 120Hz OLED touchscreen and pen support. Its North American configurations all use the same Core Ultra 7 processor and integrated Intel Arc graphics, with only the memory and storage varying. The 2024 model is a slightly lighter clamshell with more configuration options, including 144Hz IPS and 120Hz OLED displays and either integrated Intel Arc or NVIDIA RTX 3050 graphics. The RTX model is better for gaming and GPU-accelerated work, while the 2026 model is more versatile for handwritten notes and tablet or tent use. Both have soldered memory, upgradeable storage, and noticeable performance loss during prolonged demanding workloads.
The LG gram Pro 2-in-1 16 (2026) and LG gram 16 (2024) are exceptionally portable 16-inch laptops. The 2026 model is the more versatile device, with a 360-degree hinge, pen support, and a high-resolution 120Hz OLED touchscreen. Its display produces much deeper blacks and smoother motion than the IPS displays available on the 2024 gram. The 2024 gram is a conventional clamshell that is slightly lighter and provides considerably longer battery life during light use. It also has a microSD card reader, which the 2026 model lacks. Both have soldered memory, integrated graphics, upgradeable storage, and excellent port selections with two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
The LG gram Pro 2-in-1 16 (2026) and Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15 Aura Edition (2025) are premium large-screen Windows ultraportables with 120Hz OLED displays. The LG is slightly larger and much more versatile, as its touchscreen is standard, and its 360-degree hinge permits tablet and tent modes. It also has a slightly wider port selection and a second M.2 storage slot. The ThinkPad is a conventional clamshell available with touch or non-touch displays and several low-power Intel Core Ultra processors, although none quite as powerful as the Core Ultra 7 255H in the LG. Still, the ThinkPad provides much longer battery life, sturdier construction, a better webcam, and quieter, cooler operation with less performance loss during extended workloads.
