The LG 27GX704A-B and the ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG are competing 1440p, 240Hz gaming monitors. While they both have glossy coatings, the screen finish on the LG is less hazy, resulting in clearer images. Which one do you recommend? I’m looking for my first OLED monitor. The QD-OLED panel on other ones seem to scratch easily and the WOLED has a better resistance (?) Some people say that Glossy is clearer than Matte coating (Which I find weird) If you have to keep one that will stick with you for some years which one will it be? Hi, yeah generally speaking, glossy coatings result in clearer images than matte coatings, which in turn have less direct reflections. At the end of the day, it’s a personal preference, but it’s good to know which you prefer.

Between these two, the coating on the LG is actually less hazy than the coating of the ASUS. Besides that, they’re very similar, and you can’t go wrong with either. You may also want to consider that the LG has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, which the ASUS doesn’t have.
