While the tcl tvs post 2019 haven’t been able to compete int terms of response time or input lag for the fastest 1080p tv. This tv might be able to dethrone the 2019 model. It could be the best budget gaming tv at only $250 and showing improvement over the previous generations of tcl tvs.

After further investigations, it seems like TCL decided to not replace this model and carried it over to 2024. We were a little to quick on this one one (expected a 2024 model). And have since decided to purchase it as well. We purchased the 32" model!

why did you decide to purchase the S2/S250G and S3/S350G now? they both don’t have many votes right now.

Our writers recognized that some of our recommendation articles are bit outdated and we wanted more products to be able to consider for them (best small TVs) so we purchased both of the models you mentioned above!

Glad that this is being reviewed. It’s almost impossible to find a HDR 1080p tv that is under 40" in size. Can’t wait for this review.

Few more weeks most likely, we’re running out of TVs in our backlog.

Wow I think this is the first TV in this test bench where you straight up say one should not buy it. It’s the only one to get a red score for mixed usage. But this proves how realistic your tests are. Others, like some reviewers or certain subreddits will not recommend anything without Mini-LED or OLED, even though a 300 nit direct lit TV is fine for many to most people (which is why they have been around and top-selling for decades, from CCFL LCD to LED LCD).
