Our Verdict
PUMA Deviate NITRO Elite 3
PUMA Fast-R NITRO Elite 3
The PUMA Deviate NITRO Elite 3 and PUMA Fast-R NITRO Elite 3 are both carbon-plated racers, but the Fast-R is considerably lighter and more race-focused. Its aggressive geometry moves you through the stride more forcefully, particularly when landing farther forward. The Deviate NITRO Elite 3 is the more forgiving option and works better if you also want to use your racer for regular workouts. However, if you want maximum race-day performance, get the Fast-R; otherwise, get the Deviate NITRO Elite 3.
