Our Verdict
Samsung NU7100
LG C8 OLED
The LG C8 OLED is much better than the Samsung NU7100. The LG C8 is an OLED TV with perfect blacks and good viewing angles that make it a better choice for most usages but especially for watching movies in a dark room. Also, the C8 has better reflection handling and a much faster response time that allows only a small blur trail to be visible in fast content. The Samsung NU7100, on the other hand, has a VA panel that shows no signs of permanent burn-in risk and a lower input lag both in SDR and in HDR, and this is great if you play video games.
