Samsung QN85D
Sony BRAVIA 8 OLED
The Sony BRAVIA 8 OLED is better than the Samsung QN85D, although the Samsung is brighter overall, especially in SDR. Still, the Sony TV has the typical OLED advantages: perfect contrast for the deepest blacks possible, an extremely wide viewing angle, and a nearly instantaneous response time for the most responsive gaming possible. The Sony model also has the typical Sony advantages, namely a strong edge in image processing. Still, the Samsung TV is the most accurate of the two out of the box, although that edge disappears if you hire a calibrator. Ultimately, the Sony is the better product.
