Samsung S95D OLED
Sony BRAVIA 9
The Samsung S95D OLED is generally a bit better than the Sony BRAVIA 9, but the Sony has a few advantages. First, it's brighter than the Samsung, especially in SDR. It's also the most accurate of the two TVs, and has better image processing, making it more palatable for purists. Finally, the Sony TV supports Dolby Vision and passes through DTS audio signals, neither of which the Samsung model supports. Still, the Samsung is incredibly bright in HDR for an OLED, has perfect contrast, and its superior reflection handling bridges the gap with the Sony when used in brighter rooms. Plus, it is the far superior gaming TV due to its 144Hz support on all four HDMI 2.1 ports, and near instantaneous pixel response times. It also has a nearly perfect viewing angle. Ultimately, the Samsung is better for almost anyone but home theater purists.
