Wooting 80HE
Qwertykeys Hex80
The Qwertykeys Hex80 and the Wooting 80HE are two Hall effect keyboards with exceptional raw performance. Both deliver irreproachable latency performance that should satisfy even the most demanding gamers. The Wooting distinguishes itself with its four-year warranty and industry-leading software. Its layout omits certain navigation keys and is slightly more compact than a standard TKL. Wooting also offers the 80HE in a slightly cheaper plastic case and an aluminium case variant. Qwertykeys only offers the Hex80 in an aluminium case variant with translucent keycaps. That said, it delivers slightly better typing quality out of the box than the Wooting.

This problem only exists in your case — it’s just a regular defect. That can happen with any keyboard, but why mislead people? 🤦 The Hex80 has a better case and better build quality. Even if your Wooting is made from alloy, it’s nowhere near competing with the QwertyKeys case. The Hex80 uses a special aluminum — QwertyKeys uses 6063-T6 aluminum alloy (they don’t brag about it on their website for no reason), which is much stronger, more stable, and more expensive than the regular aluminum used in Wooting. Also, the Hex case includes a CNC-machined stainless steel element. So how exactly do you think Wooting has better build quality? If your USB port is loose, that’s a defect — isn’t that obvious?
Hi RtingsUser1106636 and thank you the feedback! 😄 For the Wooting 80HE, we have the alloy model and it was good on our side even though we heard that this and the PCR Plastic counterpart have reports of scratches and minor warping and other things. For the hex80, we experienced issues with the usb port wobbling to the point where it was randomly disconnecting during testing when moving it. That’s why it scored slightly lower. When it comes to typing: You are correct. The typing experience and feel was indeed better on the Hex over the Wooting 80He when it comes to typing quality. The main thing with the Hex is that it was louder and wouldn’t be optimal in a noise-sensitive environment But outside of that, the typing feel is indeed great! Thank you for reaching out again and have a great weekend! 😄
How did the Wooting 80HE get a higher build quality score compared to the custom build? Are you kidding me? The Hex80 has better build quality and arguably the best case on the keyboard market. And how did the Wooting score higher in the typing section? Anyone knows that the Hex80 has the best typing feel among magnetic keyboards.
