Apple MacBook Pro 14 (M3, 2023)
ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2024)
The Apple MacBook Pro 14 (M3, 2023) and the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2024) are very different devices, as the former is a workstation designed for professional workloads, while the latter is a gaming laptop that can handle some intensive productivity tasks. The MacBook Pro 14 provides a better user experience overall, as it has a sharper and brighter display, a larger and more responsive touchpad, and significantly longer battery life. If you only use the laptop for CPU-intensive productivity tasks, you can get more performance out of the MacBook Pro 14, especially the higher-end configurations with an M3 Max SoC. However, the G14 is still a better option for gaming, as there are far more games on Windows, and the NVIDIA GPUs have better game drivers and more features like DLSS and Frame Generation. The G14 also has a faster display response time and G-SYNC support to reduce ghosting and screen tearing.

thank you for the clarification
Hi,
Thanks for pointing it out. We’ve corrected it. In terms of performance, if you only do CPU-intensive productivity tasks, the MacBook Pro is faster (if you get a higher-end configuration with an M3 Max SoC). The benchmark numbers just look lower because we reviewed a base M3 Pro model. The G14 outperforms the MacBook Pro when it comes to raw GPU performance, but remember that in a lot of tasks like video editing, the MacBook Pro’s media engines do most of the heavy work and will often give you better performance than the G14.
“You can get better performance from the MacBook Pro 14 has better performance, especially the higher-end configurations with an M3 Max SoC.”
small error here, I think you meant: “You can get better performance from the MacBook Pro 14, especially in the higher-end configurations with an M3 Max SoC.”
Also, I would have thought the G14 had better performance, or what did you mean by better performance here?
