Our Verdict
MSI Katana A15 AI (2024)
MSI Katana 15 HX (2025)
The MSI Katana 15 HX (2025) and the MSI Katana A15 AI (2024) share a similar design and display choices, but the 15 HX uses Intel HX processors and newer NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPUs, while the A15 AI uses AMD Ryzen processors and RTX 40-series GPUs. The 15 HX's GPU options deliver much better performance overall. Both come with either a 1080p 144Hz display or a sharper QHD 165Hz display with a wide color gamut, but only the A15 AI's displays support FreeSync VRR to prevent screen tearing. The 15 HX has a steadier hinge and supports USB-C charging, while the A15 AI has a more comfortable keyboard and lasts longer on battery with light use.
