PUMA Fast-R NITRO Elite 3 vs ASICS METASPEED RAY

The ASICS METASPEED RAY and PUMA Fast-R NITRO Elite 3 are highly specialized super shoes, but they achieve speed differently. The ASICS is dramatically lighter and much softer, producing a bouncier ride, while the PUMA relies more heavily on its rigid platform and aggressive geometry to drive you through toe-off. Neither is especially stable, though the PUMA provides considerably more structure through the forefoot. Get the ASICS if minimum weight and bounce are the priority; get the PUMA if you prefer a more forceful, geometry-driven ride.
