Samsung R95H
TCL QM8L
The TCL QM8L and the Samsung R95H are pretty similar TVs overall. The TCL is brighter in HDR, so highlights pop out more in HDR content, and it's significantly more accurate out of the box. The TCL also displays deeper blacks, but there's slightly less haloing around highlights on the Samsung. Fast-paced games and sports look better on the TCL, since it has clearer motion. On the other hand, the Samsung's matte coating makes it the better option for bright rooms, especially if you have lights facing the screen. Additionally, the Samsung's better processing means it removes more artifacts from low-quality content, and there's less banding in gradients.
