The iConcepts V41001W are ultra-budget, open-ear, truly wireless earbuds aimed at buyers who want to listen to music while remaining aware of their surroundings. They offer a particularly cheap entry into a market that includes more established options like the Anker Soundcore C30i and Sennheiser ACCENTUM Clip. They're very basic and don't offer a companion app or sound customization. We purchased these from Dollar Tree in the United States.
Our Verdict
The iConcepts V41001W are mediocre for sports and fitness. Their open-ear design keeps you aware of your surroundings, and they're exceptionally lightweight. But their stiff ear hooks don't provide a particularly secure fit, and the earbuds can shift around even when you're walking. The hooks can also dig into the backs of your ears, especially during longer workouts, and interfere with glasses. They don't have an IP rating for water resistance, either, so they're not a good choice for a jog in the rain. The poor build quality also means they may not survive many workouts at all.
Open design keeps you aware of your surroundings.
Extremely lightweight.
Unstable fit and stiff ear hooks.
No water resistance.
The iConcepts V41001W are poor for travel. Their open-ear fit doesn't block outside noise, so you'll hear everything going on around you, from the rumble of airplane engines to passenger chit-chat. Some of your audio also leaks out, which may bother nearby passengers in quieter environments. They're lightweight, but their stiff hooks can become uncomfortable over time, particularly if you wear glasses. They last 4.5 hours per charge, which is enough for a commute or short flight. But the charging cradle offers very little protection for the earbuds when they're in your bag.
Open design keeps you aware of your surroundings.
Extremely lightweight.
Unstable fit and stiff ear hooks.
No water resistance.
Short 4.5-hour battery life.
Finicky touch controls.
The iConcepts V41001W are poor for office work. Their open design makes it easy to hear coworkers without removing your earbuds, but it also means conversations and other distractions remain fully audible. Some audio leaks out, too, so you'll want to watch your volume in a quiet, shared workspace. Their microphone struggles to separate your voice from background noise during calls, and the stiff ear hooks can become uncomfortable long before your workday ends. They also lack multi-device pairing, and their 4.5-hour battery life means you'll likely need to recharge them by lunchtime.
Open design keeps you aware of your surroundings.
Extremely lightweight.
Almost no bass and the treble is harsh.
Unstable fit and stiff ear hooks.
Short 4.5-hour battery life.
Finicky touch controls.
The iConcepts V41001W aren't suitable for wireless gaming. Their Bluetooth connection has very high latency, so there's a noticeable delay between the action on screen and what you hear. That said, latency can vary with the device and app.
The iConcepts V41001W can't be used via a wired connection.
The iConcepts V41001W have mediocre audio reproduction accuracy. Their bass is almost entirely absent, leaving kick drums and basslines without much weight or punch. On the other hand, their mid-range follows our target quite closely, so vocals and instruments remain fairly clear. Unfortunately, the treble is heavily exaggerated, making higher-pitched details like cymbals sound harsh and piercing. Their left and right drivers are well-matched, and harmonic distortion is low, but there's no EQ to help correct their very bright sound.
The iConcepts V41001W don't block out noise around you, and that's by design. They leave your ear canals unobstructed, allowing you to hear things like traffic. That's useful when you need to stay aware of your environment, but it makes them a poor choice for blocking out distractions during a commute. They also leak some audio, so they're not a good choice for use in places like a library.
The iConcepts V41001W have disappointing microphone performance. Their recording quality is acceptable for occasional calls in quiet environments, although your voice lacks some detail. Unfortunately, their noise handling is poor. They're best kept for calls in quieter places.
The iConcepts V41001W have disappointing frequency response consistency. Their open-ear design makes it difficult to get exactly the same sound between wears, as small changes in how the drivers sit against your ears can affect what you hear. Their stiff hooks and somewhat loose fit don't help, either.

Popular Headphone Comparisons
The iConcepts V41001W sit near the very bottom of the open-ear earbud market. They're aimed at buyers curious about listening to music without blocking their ears and who don't want to spend much. They deliver the main benefit of the format, letting you hear your surroundings, but compromise heavily on sound quality, stability, and build quality. They're also missing conveniences like app-based EQ, and their charging cradle offers almost no protection for the earbuds. The Anker Soundcore C30i are an affordable step up and well worth the extra expense, with a much longer battery life, sturdier construction, water resistance, and a cuff-style fit that's far more stable during workouts.

The Anker Soundcore C30i are worth paying the extra premium over the iConcepts V41001W. Both are affordable open-ear earbuds, and the iConcepts are a little cheaper, but the Anker perform much, much better. Their cuff-style design stays securely in place during running and workouts, whereas the iConcepts can shift around even when you're walking. The Anker also have water resistance, a sturdier charging case, and over three times the continuous battery life. The Anker also have a companion app that lets you customize the sound and controls.
The Sennheiser ACCENTUM Clip are better workout-focused earbuds than the iConcepts V41001W, though the latter are much cheaper. The Sennheiser have a cuff-style fit that stays secure through vigorous movement and works well even if you wear glasses, unlike the iConcepts' stiff over-ear hooks. The Sennheiser are also better built, with protection against dust and water ingress, a longer battery life, and a proper protective charging case. They also offer LDAC, app-based EQ, and Bluetooth multipoint. The iConcepts' main advantage is their dollar-store affordability.
