Our Verdict
The ATK Dragonfly A9 Plus is a decent mouse for work. It has excellent build quality, an accommodating symmetrical shape, and uses a web-based companion software that you can access from a browser. It supports Bluetooth, so you can pair it with two devices: one with its USB receiver and one over Bluetooth. However, it lacks productivity features like a free-scrolling wheel and scroll-wheel tilt inputs.
Excellent build quality.
Bluetooth connectivity.
Lack of productivity features like L/R scroll wheel tilt inputs or free scrolling.
The ATK Dragonfly A9 Plus is outstanding for FPS games. Its sensor tracks your movements very accurately, and it delivers both fantastic click and sensor latency, making it suitable for competitive play. It's lightweight, making it easy to aim quickly and precisely. It has a symmetrical shape that suits most grip types, especially if you have medium-sized hands.
Excellent build quality.
Remarkable raw performance.
Lightweight.
The ATK Dragonfly A9 Plus is great for MMO and MOBA games, but it only has two side buttons, far fewer than a dedicated MMO mouse. If you don't need many extra inputs, its excellent build quality, low click latency, and accurate sensor are more than enough for PvE or PvP play. You can reprogram every button, including the left click, and assign macros in the software.
Excellent build quality.
Remarkable raw performance.
Fewer side buttons than dedicated MMO models.
The ATK A9 Plus has exceptional raw performance and is suitable for competitive play in any genre. Its sensor is extremely accurate, and its sensor and click latency are both superb.
Outstanding sensor latency.
Fantastic click latency.

Differences Between Sizes And Variants
The ATK Dragonfly A9 Plus is part of ATK's wider Dragonfly A9 family of gaming mice. They all share the same symmetrical shape, and most are about the same size, though there are smaller Mini versions for small to medium-sized hands. The variants mainly differ in sensor, maximum polling rate, click-button switches, battery capacity, and weight. The A9 Plus sits near the entry level of the family: like the cheapest models, it tops out at a 1000Hz polling rate, while higher-end variants support up to 8000Hz. Several higher-end variants, including most in the A9 Ultimate line, also drop Bluetooth support. Most variants are available in White, Black, or Pink. We bought and tested the White colorway. See ATK's website for a complete list of variants.

Popular Mouse Comparisons
The ATK Dragonfly A9 Plus is one of ATK's more affordable gaming mice. It sits near the entry level of ATK's sprawling A9 series, which features a huge variety of mice that share the same shape but differ in weights and internal hardware specifications.
This mouse is a compelling budget alternative to the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2. It features an identical shape and comparable build quality for a fraction of the price. The trade-off is that it doesn't deliver quite the same cutting-edge latency performance, and it has a lower 1000Hz maximum polling rate. It's also a relatively unproven brand, and Logitech is known for its generous warranty support. Still, it delivers performance that's more than capable for competitive play.
It also competes with other budget mice like the VGN Dragonfly F1 Pro Max and the VXE R1 Pro. All of them perform well for gaming, so the choice mostly comes down to which shape you prefer.

The ATK Dragonfly A9 Plus and the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 have nearly identical shapes and dimensions, and they weigh about the same. While both mice deliver remarkable raw performance that's suitable for competitive gaming, the Logitech has lower click latency, better sensor latency, and supports a higher 8000Hz polling rate. On the other hand, the ATK supports Bluetooth connectivity, which the Logitech lacks, so you can pair it with two devices. If you opt for the Logitech, you're also paying for a longer warranty and a more established customer support track record.
The ATK Dragonfly A9 Plus and the LAMZU MAYA are wireless gaming mice with very similar symmetrical shapes, but the LAMZU is a bit shorter and lower. That makes the LAMZU better suited for smaller hands, though it can feel cramped if you have large hands. The LAMZU is also lighter, which makes it easier to move quickly, and it has a slightly lower click latency. On the other hand, the ATK also supports Bluetooth connectivity, which the LAMZU lacks.
The ATK Dragonfly A9 Plus and the VXE R1 Pro are budget wireless gaming mice with symmetrical shapes. Both deliver remarkable performance and are more than suitable for competitive gaming. The VXE is lighter and has a lower profile with a hump closer to the rear, which gives a bit more support for a claw grip, while the ATK has a more neutral symmetrical shape that's suitable for a wide variety of hand sizes and grip types. The VXE has lower click latency, and you can raise its polling rate to 4000Hz with a separately sold receiver. On the other hand, the ATK also supports Bluetooth connectivity, which the VXE lacks, and it has a larger battery with a much longer advertised battery life.
The ATK Blazing Sky F1 V2 Extreme and the ATK Dragonfly A9 Plus are symmetrical wireless gaming mice from ATK. While both mice deliver remarkable raw performance that's suitable for any level of competitive play, the F1 V2 Extreme is noticeably lighter, has lower click and sensor latency, and supports polling rates up to 8000Hz. The A9 Plus, on the other hand, is larger, which suits medium-sized hands better, and it also supports Bluetooth connectivity, which the F1 V2 Extreme lacks. The A9 Plus also has a much larger battery with a much longer advertised battery life.
