The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 are entry-level earbuds with ANC. Despite their price, the earbuds come with a comprehensive app that offers plenty of sound-tuning options, including a parametric EQ and a community DSP database.
Our Verdict
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 are good for sports and fitness. The buds are lightweight with good stability, so you can wear them on a run or in the gym. You can also customize their sound signature with the app to give your workouts as much bassy thump as you need. That said, they're not the most comfortable; the earbuds' housing is a little large and, when combined with movement, may cause discomfort or ear fatigue. The earbuds don't have an IP rating either, so you're better off using them in fair weather if you take them outdoors.
Lightweight and stable design.
Extensive sound customizations available in app.
Slightly oversized shell can be uncomfortable in your ear.
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 are satisfactory for travel. They're lightweight and easily stowable in their carrying case, so you don't have to worry about them gathering lint or being damaged if you need to quickly shove them in your pocket. That said, the case doesn't have a lid, so it might collect some dust. However, the earbuds' noise isolation isn't much to write home about, and you'll undoubtedly notice the rumble of an airplane even with ANC on. Their sub-five-hour battery life also leaves a lot to be desired; it won't last through intercontinental flights without needing a charge.
Lightweight and stable design.
Slightly oversized shell can be uncomfortable in your ear.
Sub five-hour battery life.
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 are satisfactory for office work. They're satisfactorily comfortable, though people with smaller ears may find them fatiguing to wear over long periods of time due to the slightly oversized shape. And they have a microphone that captures your voice intelligibly in most conditions. That said, their ANC won't fully isolate you from your surroundings, and you'll be able to hear your coworkers chatting (albeit more quietly). On the plus side, their sound signature is warm, and the buds offer deep customization options, so you can tweak the sound so your 'lock in' playlist sounds perfect. Still, the buds won't last more than five hours of continuous use, which could put you in a pinch if you have a meeting.

Sub five-hour battery life.
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 aren't suitable for wireless gaming. They don't have a low-latency codec option or a dedicated wireless dongle. That said, you can enter 'Game Mode' by tapping both the earbuds four times for latency that's low enough for some casual mobile gaming.
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 don't support wired audio.
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 have very good audio reproduction accuracy. They have a warm default sound signature that's smooth throughout the bass and mid-range. The buds' treble response is prone to some fluctuations, but this is expected for earbuds, since treble output changes based on ear canal shape and ear tip insertion. The L/R drivers are remarkably well matched, rendering sound objects precisely in a gapless stereo image.
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 have okay noise isolation performance. They have an ANC system that supplements their passive isolation, but it doesn't perform as well as other buds known for ANC. While engine rumble, office chatter, and car honking are attenuated by the earbuds, you'll still be able to hear most noise. That said, the earbuds don't leak much audio.
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 have a decent microphone system. While you'll sound comprehensible, loud, sustained noises will overwhelm your voice.
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 have remarkable frequency response consistency. With the correct size of ear tips, you can expect your experience to line up with our frequency response measurements.

Popular Headphones Comparisons
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 represent one of few audio focused entries in the more casual market. While there are a few other options like the Technics EAH-AZ100, Soundpeats H3, and Noble FoKus Rex5 in the audiophile earbud space, the MOONDROP stand out even more due to their wide feature set. Compared to the Technics, for example, the MOONDROP have a parametric EQ rather than a graphic EQ, and offer an Auto EQ function that's built into their app. That said, the 'Chi-Fi' manufacturer makes some concessions when it comes to build quality, battery life, and ANC effectiveness; the Technics have a more robust build quality, nearly three times the continuous battery life, and much better ANC performance.

The CMF Buds Pro 2 and MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 are both entry level budget earbuds. The CMF provide better overall functionality, sporting better noise isolation across the board, a longer battery life, and better build quality. That said, the MOONDROP put all their eggs in the audiophile basket, offering comprehensive tuning options in their app like a 5-band parametric EQ, Auto EQ, and a community DSP database. Depending on your intended use, either option is a worthwhile pickup.
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 and Sony WF-1000XM6 are earbuds in completely different weight classes. The Sony are heavy-hitting flagship earbuds with industry-leading ANC and a much longer battery life. They also have an app stuffed with lifestyle features like gesture controls and nice-to-haves like Spatial Audio. On the other hand, the MOONDROP are entry-level earbuds that sacrifice for sound, sporting a parametric EQ and Auto EQ feature in-app.
Both the EarFun Air Pro 4+ and MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 are budget true wireless earbuds. The EarFun are priced higher within the category, and offer improvements suited for casual use. They have better noise attenuation and a more comfortable fit. However, the EarFun lack the sound customization available on the MOONDROP; you only have access to a graphic EQ rather than a parametric EQ.
The MOONDROP SPACE TRAVEL 2 and TRUTHEAR HEXA are similar in-ears in their focus on sound, but they have some significant differences. Most notably, the TRUTHEAR are wired, passive earbuds compared to the active, wireless MOONDROP. Despite their ANC, the MOONDROP fare worse in noise isolation, as the TRUTHEAR's foam ear tips provide significantly more treble and mid range attenuation. As you'd expect, the passive design of the TRUTHEAR means you don't need to worry about battery life, but you don't have the same control and customizability provided by the MOONDROP and their app.
