The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II is the 2026 flagship gaming headset release from Turtle Beach. Like its predecessor, the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Wireless, it comes with a hot-swappable battery system, charger/transmitter station, and detachable boom microphone. That said, the Stealth Pro II now also has a Hi-Res audio certification and comes with an additional USB transmitter, all packaged in a completely redesigned body.

Our Verdict

0.0
Sports And Fitness

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II isn't designed for sports and fitness. The headset has no IP rating and isn't stable enough for vigorous movements. While it's comfortable enough to wear for short periods of time and eschews leather/leatherette earpads for more breathable fabric ones, the Turtle Beach will slip off your head if you engage in anything more vigorous than a brisk walk.

Pros
  • Comfortable despite high weight.

Cons
  • Unstable with vigorous movement.

0.0
Travel

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II is good for travel. The headset comes equipped with ANC, which helps mitigate a noticeable amount of bass-range rumble, making bus and plane rides more bearable. It's comfortable to wear thanks to plush earpads and the weight distribution of the mesh headband, and the battery lasts for over 47 hours, so you're covered even for the most grueling travel schedule. The headset also comes with a hard-shell carrying case that has room for all the accessories, though it'll take up a significant amount of space in your bag or carry-on. That said, there's no 3.5 mm input, so the headset won't work with some in-flight entertainment systems.

Pros
  • Comfortable despite high weight.

  • Impressive noise isolation performance.

Cons
  • Incompatible with 3.5 mm-reliant in-flight entertainment systems.

0.0
Office Work

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II is very good for office work. There's support for multi-device connectivity (one wireless USB connection and one Bluetooth connection), so you listen to a concentration playlist on your phone and take calls on a work laptop without fiddling with connection settings. If you're working from home while taking care of kids, the headset's microphone keeps your voice pristine even with considerable background noise, while the ANC system prevents children bickering from disrupting your concentration.

Pros
  • Impressive noise isolation performance.

  • Remarkable microphone noise handling.

  • Mesh headband likely to loosen over time.

Cons
0.0
Wireless Gaming (In Development)

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II is good for wireless gaming. The headset comes with a charging dock that doubles as a transmitter and a smaller USB dongle. Audio latency with either connection is low enough for most competitive titles that rely on audio cues (like tactical shooters). There's also plenty of functionality available in the included app, like hearing enhancements and sound customizations for both the headset and microphone. That said, you likely won't need to mess with the mic, as the detachable boom mic over the dongle/dock connection performs great, rendering your voice as natural even in louder settings. The headset also features a hot-swappable battery system, meaning you won't have any gaming downtime, provided you remember to charge the spare within the 47 hours of playtime provided by the active battery.

Pros
  • Remarkable microphone noise handling.

  • Low wireless dongle audio latency.

  • Mesh headband likely to loosen over time.

Cons
  • Audio delivery between wears can be inconsistent.

0.0
Wired Gaming (In Development)

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II is very good for wired gaming. Via the USB-C connection, the headset supports both input and output across PlayStation and Xbox consoles. You also have access to the active features of the headset while wired, including ANC and app customization (like EQ and mic controls). The wired connection can serve as an excellent backup if you run out of battery, too, since the active battery charges while wired (and in use).

Pros
  • Remarkable microphone noise handling.

  • Charging while wired.

  • Mesh headband likely to loosen over time.

Cons
  • Audio delivery between wears can be inconsistent.

0.0
Audio Reproduction Accuracy

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II has decent audio reproduction accuracy. Its frequency response doesn't deviate much from the headset's warm tuning except in the treble, where narrow alternating peaks and dips can render gunshots as dull or sharp, depending on the caliber (pitch). Unlike some other headsets, the frequency response also doesn't change whether you use a wired or wireless connection, ensuring you won't be thrown off by different-sounding footsteps, even if you switch connections. Despite its mediocre stereo mismatch score, there isn't a noticeable bias toward one side of the stereo image in real content. Still, your experience may differ, as stereo matching varies from unit to unit.

0.0
Noise Isolation

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II has very good noise isolation performance. Thanks to the ANC onboard this gaming headset, there's added bass-range attenuation that cuts the disruptiveness of plane engines or construction across the street. That said, its ANC isn't active in the mid-range, so the headset relies solely on passive isolation from the earpads to attenuate chatty coworkers. The resulting overall attenuation serves to mitigate noise but won't block it out as well as top-performers. The headset also leaks enough audio that someone nearby can hear what you're listening to.

0.0
Microphone (In Development)

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II has an impressive mic system. If you use the boom mic over a dongle connection and enable 'AI Noise Reduction,' your voice comes through intelligibly even with loud, consistent background noise like a subway car arrival. And while the headset also has an integrated mic and works via Bluetooth, it won't perform as well with either.

0.0
Frequency Response Consistency

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II has mediocre frequency response consistency. If you wear glasses or have thicker hair, it's worth taking an extra moment to ensure a good seal for consistent bass delivery.

    Differences Between Sizes And Variants

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II comes in 'Black' or 'White' colorways for both the 'Xbox' and 'PC/PlayStation' variants. We tested the 'Black' 'Xbox' version and took a photograph of its label. While we haven't tested the 'PC/PlayStation' version, we don't expect performance differences besides the lack of Xbox support for the non-'Xbox' version.

If you encounter another variant, please let us know in the comments below, and we'll update the review.

    Popular Headphones Comparisons

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II is the next generation of the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Wireless. The newer Stealth Pro II is an upgrade across the board: it has a hard-shell case rather than a soft pouch, supports wired connections, and has better microphone noise handling, to name a few. Outside the brand's offerings, the Turtle Beach's closest competitors are the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni and the Razer BlackShark V3 Pro. Among the three ANC-enabled gaming headsets, the Turtle Beach comes out ahead in noise isolation performance and microphone noise handling, making it the best option if you game in noisy environments. Ergonomically, the three entries are quite similar in comfort and controls, though again, the Turtle Beach has a slight edge as they come with a hard-shelled case. Ultimately, the differences between the three are small enough that the optimal decision may be whichever is cheapest.

    SteelSeries Arctis Nova Elite

    Track

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Elite and Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II are gaming headsets targeted at different price tiers. While both feature ANC and hot-swappable battery systems, the SteelSeries orients itself as an ultra-premium offering; there's a particular focus on premium finish and wide use of aluminum and metal in its construction. Still, the higher price tag only manifests itself clearly in one performance metric: the SteelSeries's ANC attenuates low-bass noise more effectively, resulting in a large performance gap in simulated real-world scenarios. However, beyond ANC and aesthetic styling, there's little incentive to spend the extra cash, especially when the Turtle Beach has a significantly longer-lasting battery, supports Hi-Res wired USB playback, and supports LDAC for higher quality Bluetooth audio streaming.

    Sony INZONE H9 II

    Track

The Sony INZONE H9 II and Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II are ANC-enabled gaming headsets with different approaches to design. The Sony is lightweight with a low clamping force, while the Turtle Beach is heavier and clamps harder. Despite this, other factors like headband design and earpad thickness put the headsets on par for comfort, though the Turtle Beach feel sturdier overall. Both headsets have exceptional microphone noise handling, but the Turtle Beach offers more flexibility, thanks to its backup-integrated mic. Unless you're sensitive to its fit, weight, or clamping force, the Turtle Beach is the better option for most people as they have a hot-swappable battery system, wider console support (with the 'Xbox' variant), and better noise isolation.

    SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni

    Track

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II and SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni are similar gaming headsets. Both offer competitive features like ANC, hot-swappable batteries, and similar comfort. That said, the Turtle Beach comes out ahead in most respects; it has a longer-lasting battery, a backup integrated mic, a hard-shell case, and better noise isolation performance. There's also support for the LDAC codec and wired USB audio for enthusiasts desiring higher audio streaming quality. If the two are priced similarly and you're impartial to the fit of either headset, the Turtle Beach is the better option.

    Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Wireless

    Track

The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II is a significant upgrade over the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Wireless. The newer Stealth Pro II has better connectivity thanks to the introduction of wired USB audio, LDAC, and LC3 support. There's also the upgrade from a soft pouch to a hard-shell case and an extra wireless USB dongle. Performance-wise, there's better low-end noise isolation and improved mic noise handling, and each battery pack lasts for over double that of the previous version. If you're looking to upgrade, the Stealth Pro II are well worth it.
