The AM INFINITY by Angry Miao is a lightweight wireless gaming mouse with a magnesium alloy exoskeleton shell. It notably features hot-swappable 340mAh battery packs that mount using magnets. The 8000Hz receiver doubles as a charger for the battery packs. You can also use the mouse wired without a battery pack installed, reducing the weight of the mouse significantly. The mouse sports a PixArt PAW3950 sensor and TTC Optical Micro switches for the main clicks.
Our Verdict
The AM INFINITY mouse is good for work, although it's primarily designed for gaming. It has a symmetrical shape with a magnesium exoskeleton that's remarkably well-built but somewhat impractical, as it doesn't allow much grip flexibility due to material gaps where you may rest your fingers. This design also leaves the internal electronics of the mouse open to dust and debris, potentially harming long-term reliability. That said, this mouse has conveniently hot-swappable batteries that recharge using the 2.4GHz USB receiver. While it supports Bluetooth, it doesn't have other productivity features, such as a multi-function scroll wheel.
Hot-swappable battery packs.
Remarkable build quality.
Open shell design leaves internal components exposed to debris ingress.
Cutouts throughout the shell limit grip flexibility.
The AM INFINITY mouse is a fantastic mouse for FPS gaming. The mouse has fantastic raw performance that's suitable for gaming at any competitive level. Design-wise, it has an extremely lightweight magnesium exoskeleton with outstanding overall build quality. It has a symmetrical shape that's on the smaller side, but is well-suited for various hand sizes and grip types. The shell has large cutouts that might require you to alter your grip, however, as they could get in the way of where you rest your fingers. The open design also leaves the mouse's internal components open to collecting debris. The mouse features a system of magnetic hot-swappable batteries that you can change very quickly, with the USB receiver doubling as a charger for the battery packs.

Fantastic raw performance.
Extremely lightweight.
Open shell design leaves internal components exposed to debris ingress.
Cutouts throughout the shell limit grip flexibility.
The AM INFINITY mouse is very good for MMO and MOBA gaming, but it doesn't have nearly as many side buttons as dedicated MMO mice. Otherwise, the mouse has an extremely well-built magnesium exoskeleton and a symmetrical shape that's suitable for various hand sizes and grip types. That said, the holes throughout the shell could affect your grip depending on where you rest your fingers, and also allow for debris to accumulate on the internal components, potentially affecting longevity. The mouse features magnetic, hot-swappable battery packs, so you can quickly change the battery, convenient for long play sessions. Performance-wise, the mouse delivers fantastic click and sensor latency that's suitable for competitive or casual play.

Differences Between Sizes And Variants
The AM INFINITY mouse comes in four colorways: Cloud White, Basalt Black, Blaze Orange, and a Mirror Shadow limited edition with a reflective black coating. We bought and tested the Basalt Black colorway. You can also purchase the mouse with an additional hot-swappable battery.
The AM INFINITY mouse .97 is a variant that Angry Miao claims is 3% smaller and has a slightly revised shell with solid side panels for better grip flexibility and compatibility with a modular palm rest insert. We expect our review to apply to that variant, with the exception of the 3D scan, weight, and Hand Size Recommendation sections. You can see a photo of our unit's label here.
Popular Mouse Comparisons
The AM INFINITY is Angry Miao's first foray into gaming mice. It has several novel features that set it apart from other gaming mice and make it a compelling option if you're looking for something a little different. The most immediately obvious feature is its shell design. While it sports a somewhat conventional silhouette that's similar to the Razer Viper V4 Pro, it has a distinctive magnesium alloy exoskeleton. It also features a magnetic hot-swappable battery pack system that allows you to quickly change the battery, while the USB receiver doubles as a charging dock for a second battery pack.
This mouse occupies the upper mid-range price category and faces competition from conventional gaming mice like the V4 Pro and the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2, which are slightly heavier but have much more traditional builds with solid shells, and could be more appealing options since they're well-suited for a wide variety of users. While it's not the first mouse with a hot-swappable battery system (see the GLORIOUS Model O3 Wireless), the AM INFINITY's wraps all of its features in a distinct package that sets it apart from other mice on the market.

The AM INFINITY and the GLORIOUS Model O3 Wireless are wireless gaming mice with hot-swappable batteries. The two mice employ very different design philosophies, however. The AM has a magnesium alloy exoskeleton design that leaves the internals open, while the GLORIOUS employs a more conventional closed shell design. As a result, the AM is significantly lighter, but leaves the internals open to collecting debris and could feel awkward to hold depending on where you rest your fingers.
The AM INFINITY and the Razer Viper V4 Pro are wireless gaming mice with two very different design philosophies. The Razer is a traditional flagship wireless gaming mouse with an accommodating, medium-sized symmetrical shape with a solid plastic shell and an internal rechargeable battery. The AM, on the other hand, has a magnesium exoskeleton that leaves the internals open, and features a hot-swappable battery system. Despite the compromised but decidedly interesting shell, the two mice actually weigh the same. The Razer's a better choice if you're looking for a more conventional gaming mouse that's suitable for a variety of hand sizes and grips, but the AM is a decidedly unique option that's an interesting choice if you're looking for a mouse that pushes the envelope.
The Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 and the AM INFINITY are wireless gaming mouse that take very different design approaches. The Logitech is a conventional flagship gaming mouse with a solid plastic shell and rechargable internal battery, whereas the AM has a magnesium alloy exoskeleton and a hot-swappable battery system affixed by magnets. As a result, the AM is significantly lighter, but leaves the internals open to debris and could be less comfortable to grip depending on where you rest your fingers. Both deliver outstanding gaming performance, so it's your choice if you prefer novel features or a tried-and-true option.
The WLmouse Beast X Max and the AM INFINITY are wireless gaming mice made primarily of a magnesium alloy. Both mice employ large cutouts to save weight, and both mice have symmetrical shapes. The AM is slightly shorter and has a higher profile hump than the WLmouse. The AM has a hot-swappable battery pack system, while the WLmouse has a conventional rechargable internal battery.
