MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED
ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG
The MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED and the ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG are competing monitors with similar specs as they each have a 1440p, 360Hz QD-OLED screen. The main advantage of the ASUS is that it gets brighter in SDR, so it's the better choice if you need something to use in a bright room. Besides that, the MSI has slightly better motion handling, but the difference is hard to tell.

I have an ongoing case with Sony support on this issue. They’ve more-or-less acknowledged this fact and have escalated to their level 2 team for guidance.
I went through all of their initial troubleshooting steps, without success:
I’m not sure why someone thought this was a good idea, as it basically renders every Netflix original series from 2019 on unwatchable during the daytime. Most other folks on the Sony forums were very cynical about them launching a fix–even though the TV is only a year old.
I’m just glad I bought Geek Squad protection, should they not be able to help. My case number is #06054942, if you want to double our efforts in finding a resolution :)
Thanks for the reply, I was thinking about buying this tv, but now I will not buying it anymore. ;)
Safe bet. I’m pretty disappointed in their support, so far, and would recommend checking out another brand. The first 2 agents I worked with just stopped replying to me (first on their forums, then on an actual case). Overall, it’s been a pretty big hassle trying to get help from them….
This is very disappointing, i expected more of sony, i guess i will buy a lg oled, it is much more expensive then the x900f but at least from what i heard is a excellent tv and i will not have issues with DV with it.
For me, Dolby Vision constantly flickers on and off every 5 seconds to a dimmer picture, I dont get why they never added an option to just turn Dolby Vision Off in their settings.
I have this TV with Xbox Series X, and signed up for Xbox Insiders and have been running Dolby Vision a good bit, with the latest update (from Xbox) it seems to be working pretty well. Just wondering if anyone else is using this and any preferred settings.
DolbyVision is 100% broken on this TV https://us.community.sony.com/s/question/0D50B00005PHdreSAD/dolby-vision-problems-xbr55x900f?language=en_US
Dolby Vision still broken - bought TV in 2018 for > $1000 and it flickers like a casual wearer of various rainbow glasses. Terrible.
Sorry for the late reply, i have this tv & dolby vision can be fixed by clearing the cache in storage options, then hold down the power button & select reset, you will unfortunately have to do this everytime before watching any dolby vision movie, annoying as all F but a fix, if your watching a series you might get through a few hours worth before it will need to be done again
