The BenQ ZOWIE ZA13-DW is a wireless gaming mouse that continues BenQ ZOWIE's ZA lineup of symmetrical gaming mice with pronounced rear humps. It's the wireless follow-up to the BenQ ZOWIE ZA13-B, and improves upon it with a new PixArt PAW3950 sensor, a higher maximum polling rate of 4000Hz, virgin-grade PTFE mouse feet, and a lighter shell while keeping the shape unchanged.
Our Verdict
The BenQ ZOWIE ZA13-DW is adequate for office work. It has great build quality and a somewhat small, symmetrical shape that's designed for claw grip. While you can connect it to two devices simultaneously using its two included USB receivers, it lacks Bluetooth support. Also, there isn't any customization software for reprogramming buttons, and the scroll wheel lacks L/R tilt inputs and a free-scrolling mode.

Popular Mouse Comparisons
The BenQ ZOWIE ZA13-DW continues BenQ ZOWIE's ZA lineup of gaming mice designed for claw grip. It has the same shape as previous wired-only iterations in the lineup (BenQ ZOWIE ZA13-B and BenQ ZOWIE ZA13-C), but improves on them with wireless connectivity, a newer PixArt PAW3950 sensor, a higher maximum polling rate of 4000Hz, a lighter weight, and better mouse feet. Unlike those previous versions, which were available in small, medium, and large sizes, this mouse is only available in a small size.
Like other BenQ ZOWIE mice, the ZA13-DW is focused on esports. It doesn't have any companion software, but you can change settings on the mouse itself, which is useful for tournaments where peripheral software isn't allowed. This mouse delivers performance that's on par with flagships from other major brands like the Razer Viper V4 Pro and the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2. However, it's slightly heavier and lacks a few niceties like optical switches and an 8000Hz polling rate. Still, this mouse is a great option if you like the shape and esports-focused ethos.

The BenQ ZOWIE ZA13-DW and the Razer Viper V4 Pro are wireless mice designed for competitive gaming. The Razer is lighter and has a larger shape that's suitable for most grip types and hand sizes, while the BenQ ZOWIE is smaller and has a shape that's best suited for claw grippers. The two mice deliver similarly fantastic raw performance, but the Razer has a higher maximum polling rate of 8000Hz compared to the BenQ ZOWIE's 4000Hz. In real-world use, however, the difference isn't significant.
The BenQ ZOWIE ZA13-DW and the LAMZU Inca are wireless gaming mice with nearly identical shapes. The two mice deliver similar raw performance that's suitable for competitive play, but the LAMZU is lighter, making it easier to move more quickly and accurately. The LAMZU also has a higher 8000Hz polling rate, but that doesn't have a significant impact on performance. You need to use companion software to adjust settings on the LAMZU, while you can change all of the BenQ ZOWIE's settings directly on the mouse, which is useful in tournament settings where companion software isn't allowed.
The BenQ ZOWIE ZA13-DW and the BenQ ZOWIE EC2-DW are wireless gaming mice designed for esports. They boast the same internal specifications and performance, but have different shapes. The ZA13-DW has a small, narrow, and symmetrical shape with an aggressive hump towards the rear that makes it well-suited for claw grippers. The EC2-DW, on the other hand, comes in three sizes and has a right-handed only shape with a rounded hump in the center.
