Our Verdict
The Keychron G3 is a decent work mouse, despite being designed primarily as a gaming mouse. It has a comfortable symmetrical shape that's especially well-suited for claw grippers. It has fantastic build quality and a solid feel despite its light weight. While it supports both Bluetooth and wireless connectivity via a 2.4GHz USB receiver, it doesn't have multi-device Bluetooth switching. Lastly, it lacks some helpful productivity features like a free-scrolling mode for its scroll wheel and L/R tilt inputs.

Popular Mouse Comparisons
The Keychron G3 is an addition to Keychron's G series of dedicated, lightweight wireless gaming mice. It has a medium-sized shape that's somewhat wide and has a hump towards the rear of the body that's designed for claw grippers and is very similar to the Endgame Gear XM2w 4k and the Cooler Master MM711. The mouse enters an incredibly crowded mid-range segment where competition is fierce, with so many great options like the Scyrox V8, Hitscan Hyperlight, and Ninjutso Sora V2, yet it still manages to be a compelling option if you like the shape. Further setting it apart, this mouse, rather uniquely, features a carbon fiber construction on the Black color variant that helps contribute to its weight and high build quality.

The MCHOSE L7 Ultra and the Keychron G3 are both lightweight wireless gaming mice with shapes designed for claw grippers. The Keychron has better build quality with a carbon fiber shell on the Black color variant and virgin-grade PTFE mouse feet, compared to the MCHOSE's standard plastic shell and dyed PTFE feet that don't glide as well. The two mice otherwise deliver fantastic raw performance that's more than suitable for gaming at any competitive level.
The Keychron G3 and the Ninjutso Sora V2 are both lightweight wireless gaming mice with shapes designed for claw grip. They both deliver remarkable gaming performance and are suited for competitive play. The Ninjutso is very marginally lighter and has slightly better mouse feet, although the differences are minor. The Keychron has Bluetooth connectivity, which the Ninjutso lacks.
The Hitscan Hyperlight and the Keychron G3 are both lightweight wireless gaming mice with symmetrical shapes. The Keychron is slightly larger with a hump that's placed closer to the back of the mouse, making it more suitable for claw grippers, while the Hitscan, on the other hand, has a central hump that's great for a wide variety of grip types and hand sizes. The two deliver very similar performance and are suitable for competitive play.
The Endgame Gear XM2w 4k and the Keychron G3 are wireless gaming mice with nearly identical shapes designed for claw grippers. They both have remarkable raw performance, but the Keychron is a bit lighter.
