Goal
TV 2.0.1 was designed to fix an issue with scoring in the Supported Resolutions section of our reviews, since our tests didn't account for TVs with a refresh rate higher than 144Hz. For example, TVs that support 165Hz but not 144Hz were scoring lower than TVs with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz.
Summary Of Changes
We replaced the 1080p @ 144Hz and the 4k @ 144Hz tests with new 1080p Maximum Refresh Rate and 4k Maximum Refresh Rate tests. For TVs with a 120Hz refresh rate, this doesn't affect their scoring. However, for TVs that support 4k @ 144Hz as their max refresh rates, the scoring has gone down slightly. A TV would need to support 8k @ 1000Hz to get a perfect 10/10. This gives us room in scoring as refresh rates become higher on TVs each year.
