What's Changed?

Our 0.9.1 test bench makes a minor adjustment to the featured comparisons at the top of our router reviews. We've added a new Type field to the Wi-Fi Specifications test box, which you can also find at the top of the review. Test Configuration is no longer featured here, but can be found in our Interior Short Range and Interior Long Range tests.

The goal is to better communicate the type of network device being reviewed (Standalone, Dual Node Mesh, Router/Modem Combo, or Access Point), even in cases where the way we test the product differs from its primary usage.

In the future, we may look into adding more Type options to better represent products that don't fit into an existing category.

Below is an example of this change in our reviews:

We've added Type as a new featured comparison at the top of router reviews, making it easier to identify the kind of network device we're reviewing at a glance.
The new Type comparison better identifies the type of router being reviewed and will now be featured at the top of reviews instead of Test Configuration.

This change will be rolled out to all existing router reviews.
